HAURAKI PLAINS CO-OPERATING PARISH
TEAM AND LEADERSHIP
The church currently has an active ministry settlement board to decide on the appropriate ministry model for the future. Services continue under the leadership of the worship team.
Jane is a long-standing member of the Parish. She ensures that overall the parish is running smoothly: worship services are running, parish council meetings are happening, and people are being cared for. She has a particular heart for pastoral care both for the church members and the wider community.
Elizabeth joined the Cooperating Parish in 2019 after moving to Ngatea. She was elected as a councillor in 2021. She regularly leads worship as a lay person, and also looks after some health and safety aspects of the church, its people, and facilities. She is passionate about sharing the gospel of Good News.
Anthony has been a Parish councillor for many decades and was previously the senior Parish councillor. With his wife Gloria they moved to the Ngatea area in the early 1980's for farming. They have been involved in many aspects of church life during this long-standing tenure. He is chair of our church finance committee.
Gloria and her husband Anthony are long standing council members. Hauraki Plains Co-Operating Parish has been their spiritual home for many decades since they moved to the area in the 1980's. Gloria has a heart to fulfill the church mission of "Christ in the Community" through the Care and Friendship group.
Allyson has been involved in the Co-Operating Parish as long as she can remember, including the time when the buildings from the historical church sites were brought to Darlington street in Ngatea. Allyson loves handicrafts and provides decorations and flower arrangements for the church.
Cameron and his family moved to Ngatea in 2019. Previously he served as an elder with Clevedon Presbyterian church for several years. He initiated a youth group at Hauraki Plains Parish in 2020. He is looking forward to seeing the church grow and serve the local community in new and exciting ways.
Nola has made Hauraki Plains Co-Operating parish her spiritual home for many years. She is responsible on the council for ensuring that the property of the church, which is owned by the Anglican diocese and Methodist trust, is kept up to scratch. She is also dutiful in keeping the altar, curtains, candles and colours well decorated.
Jan Fogg led ministry in the Hauraki Plains Co-Operating parish for 2 years on a quarter-time basis from 2020 to 2022. She is an ordained minister of the Methodist Church of New Zealand. The parish is very privileged to have her as a member of their congregation. Jan leads communion services and equips the lay worship team.
Joan Ranger is an ordained minister of the Church of the Nazarene. She has a gift for preaching and is passionate about sharing the living word of the Gospel of Christ. She volunteers to preach and lead communion service at the church on a monthly basis.
